What's Included

What You Can Get

One item or a whole garage, the job is the same shape: we look at what there is, agree a price, and it leaves on the truck. Tell us roughly what you have and where it sits on the property.

  • A squared stack of tied bags and bundled material set against a brick garage wall, ready to be lifted onto a truck.

When it is one awkward thing

    Single Items & Small Loads

An appliance, a mattress, a broken mower. Usually the problem is not the item, it is that it will not fit in a car and municipal collection will not take it.

    • One item or a partial load
    • Lifted and carried out for you
    • Priced before we load anything
  • A double garage emptied to a bare polished floor, both bays clear and the door open to daylight.

When a whole space has to empty

    Garage & Property Clear-Outs

A garage, a shed, or a basement that has filled up over years. We clear it to bare floor rather than taking the easy half and leaving the rest.

    • Cleared back to an empty floor
    • Sorted as we go where you want things kept
    • Access and stairs checked before we quote
  • A bin loaded level with construction debris — offcut lumber, flattened cardboard, torn packaging and cut branches.

    After the trade has left

    Renovation & Construction Debris

Offcut lumber, torn-out fixtures, packaging, and the rest of what a project leaves in a pile. Heavy, awkward, and the last thing anybody wants to deal with.

    • Timber, drywall, fixtures and packaging
    • Loaded from where it sits, not the curb
    • Bin loads and truck loads both handled
Why Elias

Why homeowners choose Elias

  1. It goes when we go

Loaded and gone in one visit

The load leaves on the same visit it was quoted on. Nothing gets staged at the end of the driveway to be collected another day, which is the part of a clear-out that tends to go wrong.

  2. Local & Reliable

We live and work here too

We live and work in your community, so we care about keeping it looking great.

  3. Trusted Service

    Honest work, fair pricing

Our clients count on us for honest work, fair pricing, and consistent results.

  4. Convenience First

FAQ

Junk Removal FAQs

Useful details to review before you price the work.

  1. Household items, appliances, furniture, garage and shed contents, and renovation debris. What we will not take is anything that needs specialist handling to dispose of legally, which mostly means paint, solvents, fuel, and similar. Say what you have when you request a quote and we will confirm before anyone drives out.

  2. No. Carrying it out is most of what you are paying for. Leave it where it sits and tell us where that is, because a basement with a turn in the stairs is a different job from a garage we can back up to.

  3. By how much there is and how far it has to be carried. We look before we quote, because volume is genuinely hard to describe over the phone and neither of us benefits from a number that changes on the day.

  4. A yard clean-up deals with what a season left on your property — leaves, brush, and cuttings — and is timed to the ground. This deals with items you no longer want, at any time of year. Plenty of jobs end up being both, and they can be quoted together.

  5. We work across York Region, ON: Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, Newmarket, Maple, King City, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Bolton, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Mississauga, Bradford, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Barrie, Innisfil.

People Also Ask

What York Region, ON homeowners ask about junk removal

Volume and carry. How much there is sets the base, and how far it has to travel to the truck moves it from there. A basement with a turn in the stairs is a longer job than a garage the truck can reverse to, even with an identical load.

Yes. Single items and part loads are priced as what they are rather than rounded up to a minimum truckload, which is usually the reason an appliance or a mattress ends up sitting in a garage for months.

Carrying it out is included in what we quote. We would rather look at where it sits and price that accurately than quote for a curbside pickup and discover the job on the day.

York Region, ON

Junk removal across York Region, ON

Two things generate most of this work locally. One is turnover: a house changes hands, or a basement apartment gets emptied, and decades of accumulation has to go somewhere in a short window. The other is renovation, which across Richmond Hill, Markham and Vaughan runs more or less continuously as older housing stock gets updated.

What varies between towns is not the volume but the access. A townhouse in Thornhill with a shared laneway and a walk-up basement is a materially different job from a detached Newmarket lot with a double garage the truck can reverse to, even when the pile inside is identical.

A bin loaded level with construction debris: offcut lumber, flattened cardboard, torn packaging and cut branches.

Why we ask where it sits

Weight matters less than distance and stairs. Two crews carrying the same load out of a walk-out basement and up a turning staircase are doing two jobs that differ by hours, and that difference is the honest part of the price.

So the question when you request a quote is not just what you have, it is where it is standing and what is between it and the driveway. Answer that and the number we give you holds.

What actually happens to it

Most of a household clear-out is not landfill. Metal, cardboard, clean timber and working appliances have somewhere better to go, and separating them as we load costs nothing beyond a little sorting on site.

The rest goes to a transfer station. We are not going to make a recycling claim we cannot stand behind, but sorting as we load is the default rather than something you have to ask for.
